Installing is the smallest part

A finished solution can save weeks. It can also carry somebody else's assumptions into a production process in seconds. Which data does it expect? Which decisions does it make? Which organizational context was it built for? A green Install button answers none of those questions.

With ordinary software, brand, version, and documentation help. Agent solutions add another layer: behavior emerges from instructions, knowledge, tools, and responsibility together. Provenance is not metadata decoration. It is part of the product.

The easier something is to install, the more seriously we must explain what carries responsibility afterwards.

02

Provenance answers the adult questions

Who created the solution? For which purpose? When was it reviewed? Which requirements apply? What changed since the last version? Those questions sound dry until a team has to decide whether a building block belongs in a real customer process.

A good library makes the answers visible before enthusiasm for the preview wins. Trust does not appear because everything is available. It appears because choices can be justified.

  • Author, purpose, and audience are clear
  • Requirements and limits are understandable
  • Changes have a traceable history
  • Obsolete solutions can visibly retire
  • Popularity replaces domain review
03

Review is not a quality badge forever

A reviewed solution can still become obsolete. Models change, policy evolves, providers disappear, and business processes acquire new exceptions. Governance does not end on publication day.

A serious marketplace therefore needs lifecycles instead of eternal availability. New, reviewed, updated, retired: these states are less exciting than star ratings and far more important in production.

04

Installed does not yet mean appropriate

The value of a solution is the head start, not an illusion of universal fit. Support for a hotel, a manufacturer, and a public authority may share a basic shape while differing at every consequential point.

Good reuse therefore invites local review. Which connections are missing? Which knowledge sources apply? Who may decide? Only after those questions does a catalog entry become your solution.

05

The library is the platform's memory

A governed Solution Library does not collect as many workflows as possible. It collects good starting points, explains their origin, and lets organizations take them into their own responsibility deliberately.

A download folder distributes files. A marketplace distributes trust. That takes much more than an Install button.
